A casual, community-first afternoon for brown women who are building — or thinking about it.
No agenda. No pitch decks. Just good conversation, chai, and the kind of connections that happen when the right people are in the same room. BGA’s founder Bhargavi Varma will be there; and as an extra special treat you’lll also meet Sruthi Jayadevan; alongside a curated group of founders, angels, and community members from across Texas.

Lisa Mattam built Sahajan Skincare from the ground up. She is one of the most recognized South Asian female founders.
Manica Blain of Top Knot Ventures has backed some of the most compelling consumer brands and was among Sahajan’s earliest investors.
On June 17, they sit down together for a live recording of the Brown Girls, Money Moves podcast. And you could be in the room.
Here’s how it works: register for the event, and you’ll be entered into a draw for one of three spots inside the recording session — an intimate, behind-the-curtain experience with Lisa and Manica before the main event. Everyone who registers joins us for the 40-person panel and reception that follows in the W Hotel atrium.
This is a founder event — fintech, health, construction, consumer, and every vertical in between. A room for South Asian women who are building, at all stages. Come to learn. Come to connect. Come to find your next collaborator, co-founder, or investor.
