For too long, South Asian women have been taught that money matters are for brown munde. Brown Girl Angels is on a mission to change that narrative.
We’re building a collective of South Asian women who want to make an impact — and give back to the next generation of brown girls through angel investing.
We just wrapped up BGA’s first angel investing course - a true manifestation come to life. Twelve South Asian women dialling in from Hong Kong, Melbourne, London, San Francisco, Toronto, and New York (basically, every time zone imaginable), came together virtually to learn about angel investing.
Led by UK-based Investor and Managing Partner of Araya Ventures, Rupa Ganatra-Popat, this pilot course wasn’t just a milestone - it was a quiet dream I had back when Brown Girl Angels was still just a spark.
The energy, the feedback, the desire to stay connected - it captured everything BGA stands for: knowledge-sharing, community and brown girls building something special together. Whether you’re a seasoned investor, curious to learn more or just tired of waiting for permission - this course is for you.
